Terms of Service
Last updated: 14 May 2026
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using HTM Central you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
2. The service
HTM Central is a UK-based platform that helps Heelwork to Music competitors discover shows, submit entries, and view results, and helps show organisers run their events. We are not a show organiser — shows are run by their respective organisations, and entries are subject to each show's own rules.
3. Your account
- You need an account to enter shows, claim dogs, or join an organisation as a member.
- You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe and for the accuracy of what you submit (your details, your dogs' details, your entries).
- One account per person. Don't share accounts or impersonate someone else.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use HTM Central lawfully and respectfully. In particular, don't:
- Submit false entries, results, or dog information.
- Impersonate another competitor, judge, or organiser.
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute data in bulk.
- Try to interfere with the service, bypass technical limits, or attack other users.
- Upload content that infringes someone else's rights or is unlawful.
We may suspend or remove accounts that breach these terms.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the information you submit (entries, dog records, photos). You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and share that content on the platform for the purpose of running the service — for example, showing your entry to a judge, your dog's results to other competitors, or your organisation's shows to the public.
In plain terms: you own what you submit. We use it only to run the platform — to display your entries to judges, your results to other competitors, and your organisation's shows to the public. We're not buying or selling your content.
When you delete your account, our right to use the personal parts of your content (name, photo) ends. Historical competition records (your dog's results in past shows) remain visible because we keep those indefinitely under legitimate interest — see the Privacy Policy.
6. Shows and organisers
- Shows are organised and run by show organisers, not by HTM Central. We provide the platform; the organiser is responsible for the conduct of the show, the judging, and any prizes.
- Entry fees, refund policies, and show rules are set by the organiser. Disputes about a show go to the organiser first.
- Organisers are responsible for the accuracy of the show information they publish.
7. Results
Once a show's results are published they become part of HTM Central's public record. Results are tied to the dog and the show, not personally to a current account holder — when an account is deleted, dogs are demoted to "unclaimed" and their historical results remain visible.
8. Availability
We aim to keep HTM Central available, but we don't guarantee it. Scheduled maintenance, outages, and bugs happen. We may change, suspend, or discontinue the service (or parts of it) at any time.
9. Liability
HTM Central is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:
- Indirect or consequential losses (lost profits, lost data, lost opportunity).
- Anything to do with how a show is run.
- The accuracy of user-submitted content.
In plain terms: we try our best to keep HTM Central running and accurate, but we can't promise the service will be available all the time or that every piece of information is perfect.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or anything else that cannot be excluded under UK law.
10. Termination
- You can delete your account at any time under Profile → Privacy & data. When you do, we handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to the service or other users.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll announce material changes in the app and on the website before they take effect. Continuing to use HTM Central after a change means you accept the new terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The English courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
